Preforma kick-off meeting, Padua 13-14 January 2014
The PREFORMA Consortium will meet early on January 2014 in Italy, to start a new and very innovative project. The 14 partners from 9 differents European countries will be involved in this 48-months project funded by the European Commission under the Seventh Framework Programme.
Main objective of PREFORMA (acronym of "PREservation FORMAts for culture information/e-archives") is to develop and deploy an open source software licensed
reference implementation for different format standards as a tool to be used by memory
organisations to check conformance with standard specifications.
Promoter, as full partner of the project, will attend the meeting with its representatives Antonella Fresa and Claudio Prandoni.

DCH-RP plenary meeting, Catania 20-21 January 2014
The DCH-RP project meeting will take place in the room "Aula F" located in the first floor of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Catania which hosts the Division of Catania of the INFN.

All our Yesterdays, Pisa 11th April - 2nd June 2014
The great exhibition of early photography opens on Friday 11th April. The Museum of Graphics in Palazzo Lanfranchi will host international guests from all over Europe to celebrate the ribbon cutting, and to unveil the photographic masterpieces which are in the exhibition. “All Our Yesterdays: Life Through the Lens of Europe’s First Photographers (1839 – 1939)”, in Pisa, 11th April – 2nd June 2014

CIVIC EPISTEMOLOGIES Kick-off meeting, Rome 1-2 September 2014
On the first two days of September, the premises of the Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico will host the CIVIC EPISTEMOLOGIES Kick-off Meeting, which brought together 12 cultural institutions and archives, universities, research centres and innovative SMEs from all over Europe.
The CIVIC EPISTEMOLOGIES project is about the participation of citizens in research on cultural heritage and humanities. The project will last 16 months and it has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration.
